Summer performing arts camps!
Performance Camps – The Anderson Theater / Cobb Civic Center

This camp is conducted by Mr. Bob Adams, Drama Instructor at
Pebblebrook High School’s Performing Arts Magnet Program
Several Pebblebrook students are “counselors” for this camp!

Campers should have equal interest in singing, dancing and acting. At the end of each camp week our campers will perform their show for family and friends .ETC Camp Fees$80 for Cobb County Residents, $105 for Non-Residents Camp Dates and Hours June 21-259:00 am – 12:30 pm July 12-169:00 am – 12:30 pm July 19-239:00 am – 12:30 pm Prompt Camp for Rising grades: 5th to 9thPrompt Camp is a training camp, where campers will work on developing the skills and discipline necessary to perform in musical theater. Campers will work on vocal and dance techniques, stage presence and good audition pieces. Prompt Camp Fees$40 for Cobb County Residents, $65 for Non-Residents Camp Dates and Hours June 21-251:00 pm – 3:30 pm July 12-161:00 pm – 3:30 pm July 19-231:00 pm – 3:30 pm

3:00 p.m.
The Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts at
Pebblebrook High School
Transportation will be each family’s own responsibility.
See the attached order form for more information if you would like to attend.
Each chorus student and Mustang Musician will be given 2 FREE tickets.
(one for the student and one for a parent)
Orders are due by FRIDAY, APRIL 23rd.

Dinner afterwards with Ms. Beale for anyone who can go!

Fine Arts Education

Arts Education is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL for the development of our children, from as early as kindergarten all the way up into higher level education.

An education in Fine Arts encourages:-more developed habits of critical and creative thinking
-more perseverance and dedication to a given task
-better psychological and physical health-self-discipline, intrapersonal and interpersonal skills

A child who participates in Fine Arts is:
-more likely to succeed academically-more likely to succeed socially
-more able to express his or herself-inclined to be more literate than his or her peers

If America's children are to be sucessful in all aspects of their life, then an education that emphasizes Fine Arts is crucial.

Come see the Cobb County Center for Excellence in the Performing Arts at Pebblebrook High School students perform this musical about an inspiring group of students at New York City's High School for the Performing Arts.

Show dates / times:

March 27th, 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
March 28th, 3:00 p.m.

Several of these students will also be performing at Ford on our early release day, Wednesday March 10th!

The following is a list of behaviors which will cause parents to be notified and may affect behavior grades on report cards:

*Refuses to participate
*Contiually off task
*Not following directions
*Inappropriate use of materials/equipment
*Inappropriate language
*Disruption of class
*Disrespectful to an adult or peer
*Threatening or harassing another
*Continual dangerous or unsafe behavior
*Physical altercation
*Not bringing materials to class (recorder, folder, tennis shoes, sketchbook, etc.)
